King Harald has passed away

Today is a heavy and sorrowful day for Norway. Our beloved King Harald has passed away.

Throughout his long life, he served and represented Norway with warmth, dignity, and a contagious twinkle in his eye. He was a king who remained close to the people and who left a deep and lasting mark on our country.

Our thoughts today are with Queen Sonja and the entire royal family. We remember King Harald with great gratitude and respect, and our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones during this difficult time.

Thank you for everything, King Harald. ❤️

The Norwegian Seamens Church will be open to everyone who wishes to come and light a candle in memory of King Harald, write a message in the condolence book, or simply be together with others in a quiet moment.

Everyone is warmly welcome at the church—for fellowship, reflection, and prayer during this difficult time for Norway.
